For many years I've spoken on and moderated panels about recording and music for SXSW, NXNW, NARAS, TapeOpCon, PotLuckCon and CMJ.

I have been a guest lecturer at various colleges where I've discussed the recording arts and music business. Please email me via the contact form to see about availability and terms. 

In conjunction with the Tape Op Book series, I've done book readings and sessions at Wordstock and Powell's Books, in Portland, OR.

From 2003-2006 I hosted Jackpot! Recording Studio's Weekend Recording Workshops, where I ran a ten person group through techniques and concepts about music recording. Students all reported that they gained a lot from this workshop. I've also presented workshops in other cities, including Montreal.

In April and May 2010 I hosted the return of the Larry Crane Recording Workshop at Jackpot! Recording in Portland, OR. All went well and minds were opened for sure. Drop by and sign up to know about future workshops coming up!
